Whatever

Whatever

A Poem by Lydia Jamison

Tell me I'm not perfect,
Tell me that I have to change.
So I tell you it's not worth it,
And you say that I'm strange.

But I really don't care
What you say or what you think.
I'll let down my hair
And  I won't listen to anything.

No matter what you say,
And no matter what you do,
I'll be myself anyway.
I never said I needed you.

Tell me to back down,
Tell you that I'll never.
Saying that I'll come around,
While I just say
Whatever.
