Spontania

Spontania

A Poem by Lydia Jamison

Just meager chit-chat,
Until out of the blue,
I find myself falling
Faster and faster
Towards you.
Why didn't you catch me?

One second we're acting
Like the best of friends.
One touch and it
All comes to an end.
I can't make sense of
What you're thinking.

Is Spontania
Your middle name?
And why are you
So insane?
Why does my heart break
Whenever you
Call my name?

Today you think
You'll get in my way,
And then tomorrow
You'll completely
Avoid me.
What's wrong with you?
Do you want me to?

'Cause I'm wanting to.
Yeah, I'm wanting to.

Spontania is
The game you play.
You screw things up,
With your
Quirky personality.
But I love you
For all the things you do.
That much is true...

Spontania.

Author's Note

Lydia Jamison
This is a pretty messy/chaotic/scattered one... Don't be a hater. I think I might be distantly related to Dr. Seuss.

(Oh, and yeah, it's supposed to sound like lyrics)
