My first poem in a while, i guess it's metacognition? not really sure. Hopefully you'll enjoy it, and understand what I mean by all of it.
I Once saw a man, who I knew from my dreams, his voice was spontaneous, yet lyrical. I remember, he spoke with me then, or it seemed, of mankind's greatest monsters and miracles.
Of a paradise lost, and worldliness found, of a culture with pure singularity, Where insight and epiphany wholly abound, And all thoughts arrive in perfect clarity.
To the garden of Eden it should be compared, but philosophy motivates all, no society, only ideas are shared, for Truth, the pursuit of St. Paul
In this realm all consciousness yearns for intelligence, not by bread or by air does one live enlightenment, thoughts with importance and relevance, sought by all, but what being shall give?
“Is this Heaven?” was solely the thought I conceived, for it is, if nothing else, ethereal, but lacking pleasures and vices, at once I believed all heaven can't be immaterial.
Few humans I know could enjoy such a place, meditation occupies ones years It seems ill-suited to our mortal race, thinking only of loathing and fear.
To understand everything, live in a dream, Is one's mind prepared to imagine it? This, and darkness, we all are somewhere in-between, Balance, holding off the apocalypse.
The Balance of Mind contains in it's cups Dumbness and Wisdom, It's master, For knowledge is power, but power corrupts, Should absolutes ever, then, be sought after?
This world, so it seems, is by gods, and for gods. And ones brilliance alone cannot conquer it. For with wisdom comes doubt, and without it comes fraud, Is Ignorance Bliss? Or the Opposite?

I don't think I understood it all but few lines of the poem and my thoughts matches. I think I need to read it few more times to grasp it properly.
According to me the galaxy which contains hell and heaven are there inside our head. And then everything is void, if you believe it is there, yes it is there, if no then no. More the knowledge, more the doubt. More the ignorance more the bliss.
Your last line is a question I ask often. My problem I try to keep up with everything. I want to know what is going on. Good or bad. I have known intelligent people in my life. Most told me the same thing. Try to stay positive and if nothing good to say. Say nothing. Paradise is rare and if you are lucky and find a place to rest. Need to stay in paradise at long as you can. The poem is powerful. The strong statement made me think. A excellent poem.

Well, my purpose in leaving the ending a question is to suggest that you assign your own meaning. The story told by The Man about knowledge and paradise correlating is just an example of an extreme or an absolute. It's an open-ended poem, which I'm glad you took the time to think about
