Bag of Healing

Bag of Healing

A Poem by Dan B
"

I wrote this fairly quickly, but I think that whoever you are, whatever situation you're in, you can relate to this poem and get something out of it... Literally.

"
What's that you say? Your head is in the sand?
Well here, take the bag of healing right from my hand.

Open it up and gaze deep within,
It'll blow your mind with its gracefully sweet serene wind.

Place your hand in the bag, open your palms and let everything go,
For, at least in this moment, it is you who owns the show.

Throw your deepest thoughts into the darkest depths of the bag of healing,
A place where nothing means everything; there are no true feelings.

You don't feel satisfied? Was that not enough?
Fine, jump into the bag, but understand it'll be rough.
Why, you ask? Because not all wounds can be tended to.
Put your past behind; run into the wall of the future, and keep pushing on through.

At some point the wall will break,
And your new self will be made.
This new natural high will lift you far above the ceiling,
And it all started with the day you clutched in your hands the great bag of healing.
