Scars

Visible scars are often seen as a scary sight
It doesn't matter if they're from an accident or a fight.

It's easier for people to point, cringe, or whisper when they speak
Rather than asking or hearing their stories, they just call em freaks.

Scars are just signs of a person's strength
Badges of honor and the ability to survive at any length.

Skin is just a covering and should not be used to judge
For the true beauty lies deep within and rarely holds a grudge.

Thank you for your review. I have a friend who was burned in an accident and is now struggling with people's reactions to her scars....makes me sad that people are so judgemental.
