The End

The End

A Poem by Damon Chambers
"

Self explanatory.

"
Waiting for all of this misery to just end
All the people in my life that seem to pretend

End all the hurt that eats at me everyday
All the dreams I had that were taken away

The harder I tried to do everything right
It would all just explode in a blinding light

Always being told that things would get better
Yet I am still sitting here writing a sad letter

And so I wait for the one final blow
It's just my luck that it would be so damn slow.

I remember these times, when pain was less an enemy and more a comforting friend. Your poem brought those feelings to life, and explained them in a way that no one would be able to escape the words. Even though your poem is short, it strongly impacts the reader and makes them feel as if the poem were them. Your last sentence is all too true, as every waiting feeling seems so slow, but even still, you wait for it, hoping for all the pain to disappear. Whether this poem be of past pains, or is of current ones, I do hope you stay strong through it all - for the end, is merely a beginning to something new learned of yourself.
