ImaginationA Poem by Damion DiffendalA poem about the racing, wandering mind.I often have a mind that wanders, As if it has two legs. It speaks of very oddly things, Like zebras with ladder pegs.
Though sometimes it seems to wander, To places never seen, Things of weird necessity, What on earth does it mean?
My mind crosses rivers and it always seems to
be, One step behind, yet three in front of me, It’s always in constant motion Yet always standing still, The gears of nature's musing creation, Creating windowsills.
Imagination is so much stronger Than one might be aware, It’s capable of creating more Than your average teddy bear, Our magnificent minds can create Things never seen before, Imagination of a child’s mind Opening the door.
Genius pictures oddly phrased, Painted through the brain, Potential for a thousand things, Man is that insane? © 2016 Damion Diffendal |
