To Soar

To Soar

A Poem by Damion Diffendal
"

A poem written about the freedom of birds.

"

For those who fly,

For those who soar,

The ones above,

Through nature’s door,

I ask of you,

For why you fly,

So highly up,

And touch the sky?

Is it so that you may need,

A way of travel that doesn’t heed,

The motion of the very Earth?

For, walking such a terrible deed?

I believe you fly for reason’s unknown,

But a reason for why your airy home.

You fly in mystery to that of Earth,

And that is why: the highest worth.

I envy that, what is so beautiful,

I envy all that float the world,

But respect is given for that I’m sure.

The one’s who fly through nature’s door.
