I wrote and performed the lyrics for my daughter. It has to do with her pacemaker.

So perfect
So innocent
Wish I could help your heart beat
Undeserving to live with it
I'll tighten the belt on your car seat
Making sure my nervousness doesn't get the best of me
Stressin
No lessons to be learned in this
My soul will not rest in peace
Destiny

A knife sliced
No guided line
Sometimes this life
It's not so kind
This can't be right
Say she'll be fine
Can't waste no time
Fate crossed the line

There must be some mistake
To young to bear this awful weight
Too many words that she can't say
Too bad this girl, she can't relate

But still the pain
Caused her to scream
In my arms please
Someone relieve
This broken piece
Of perfect dreams
I'm on my knees
Come hear my plea

But we're alone
This family's in a broken home
And you can't do this on your own
Your grandparents have loved you so

Your smile, it lights up the skies
Snow pile, the whites of your eyes
Now how can I see you cry
Allow the darkness of night

In spite of everything I'll tell you
You might think you're different
Surprise baby girl, I'll tell you
Here's the thing
Everyone is

No matter now
No matter then
Technological advances
Look at her frown
Look at her hand
Biological expectance

Just know you're beautiful
Yup, yup
You're beautiful
Yup
Girl, now do what you do
Yup, yup
You know you're cool

And no matter this problem Alexis
Daddy loves you more than anything he could ever dream
And though it seems daddy's never there
Don't be scared
We'll be reunited
And no matter the effort baby girl
I promise you I'll keep on fighting

(Chorus)

It's funny
You'd think this changed her
A blessing
Too young to be traumatized
Her life endangered
The best thing:
Happiness multiplied

So motivating
Why do we seem so frustrated
Why things seem so complicated
Her strength lifted us all up
Not fair for us to keep on weighting
Chasing
All the "what if's" and "what could be's"
She doesn't see it that way
The words come from her heart truly
She doesn't sleep with that pain
Walks without the thought of losing
A bounding leap without shame
Everything I wish I could be

Proud to be a part of something
All of the attention hogging
Pure and happy, clear of fog
And all the thoughts are clear to start with
Never causing all these problems
Pay the cost to try and solve them
Comedy, tragedy, drama
Harmony, happily honest

Honoring, battling harder
Then you're aware of
It scares us
Honestly
How do we harbor all these twisted fears as parents

But together we'll conquer, fully armored
Can't do it?
Heh, come dare us
Follow your father
Doubt will conjure from charmers
Just won't hear it

I don't consider this labor
I won't admit that it changed her
I won't give in to the nature
Following progress to danger
Bothering, stop it, go make her
Stalling the drop that'll break her
Falling is constant, restrain her
Fostering conscious behavior

As magnetizing as her eyes where beauty's laying
Heavy machinery draws the line between her dying
And living up to her potential
Obviously I'm trying
To guide her in this life
And all the while, the tides are rising

Here to save you
We can swim
Do it all over again
Look at momma
Come join in
Family, where have we been

Together at last
Bette relax
The weather comes fast
Better react

And make up for every minute, second, and every moment
Then take a minute, for every second, she's the one you're holding
Now take a moment, for every lesson, teach your daughter hope
And then safe she's growing up knowing
At least she's got a home.

I don't own Eminem's part obviously. Just wanted to make a tribute to my daughter.

Heavy. That's gotta be some burden on a father's head.

The above lines are very important. Kids need to have a place to know safety and kindness. No weakness in the outstanding poem.

Thank you!
Daughters are special. It's a tough world and we feel the pain as we watch them suffer in life. It's all a part of the growing & learning that each has to go through.

I just loved the write. It was very touching and had a special meaning to me.
