Echo (Song)

Echo (Song)

These days
The normal routine has changed
It's not the same
And I feel the pain
And then I
See your face on display
It can't replace
The space
That you grace had erased
Within me
Can I
Have one
More moment with a friend
Have fun
Just hold you here again
Here's to
Saying so much with out words

Now every time I wake up
I get a feeling of us
The only feeling I trust
But the feeling is busted
My emotions are rushing
No, the oceans are nothing
Your devotion was something
A pure motion of love and

I've been trying to forget
How could I go through it laying in our bed
How can I move through without crying cause your dead
Playing like a movie, memory flying through my head

I can only hear your echo
The only time I hear you say I love you anymore

It feels like she's right here, right here next to me
I wonder if she can feel me too
Can you feel me?

We always knew
But could never be prepared
Thought we'd make it through
It's our heaven in the air
We were both young
Positively in love
When we thought of this stuff
Just forget and don't care

If you were back
I'd attack the madness that lasted
A disaster
This selfish actor brought sadness
Never planned it
Handled this over a gamble
Never lasted, damn with it
Hopeless
An a*****e

But you were there to give me a lift
Alone with a broken heart you said I could fix with a kiss
I regret ever leaving you alone with our kid
Show you that I love you
I wish that I could prove it again

It's too late to say sorry
And to make up for mistakes
I'm about to break
I'm falling
Can't I say a thank you
For the greatness
Honor
Unexpected change
I wanna save this
Gotta

But all I hear is an echo
Your voice in the wind
Reappears when I let go
Tales of a life
Half a century old
Remember when she'd hide?
Then say "Where'd ya go?"
She grew up so fast
Baby girl
Where'd the time go
Where's the laughs
In a world
Without my girl
Can't outlast
But I did.

Heh yea, a look in to my past from the future lol. Thanks for the review!
A song with all the emotions of the bereaved, love, longing, sadness and guilt...Very touching. But as the last lines suggests, a somber but sensible ending.

Thank you, I'm glad it was appreciated!
Your song is like standing in a field of flowers, turning every which way to look at the numerous blossoms, the scent in the air, the abundance of butterflies and insects flying through the air from flower to flower.

The sky is constantly changing with the sun hidden and then out in full shine. Perhaps nature itself conjured such a rich tapestry of life in which the man standing in the field was to one day inherit. A lovely song, Damien.

Thank you :) I'm glad you like it!
Great to add a voice to a face to a write mixed with a minute glimpse of the past.
A whole new dimension, good rhythm, good feel.
This is a sad but an impeccable and enduring love song. Big respect!
