Temporary (Song)A Poem by Damien DavisonThese days are temporary, always temporary...Trying to keep up with time I'm only 22, got the rest of my life Realize there's no difference between wrong or right It's only perspective, a difference in mind All the trials awaiting me, no Gods are saving me Demons come play with me, Darkness will stay with me Why am I remaining, talent can be replaced Why do I keep chasing, dreams as their shattering? These days are temporary Always temporary Who do you think you are judging my ways What's it matter to you the tattoos on my face You're just madder to prove you're living the right way As the madness consumes your life everyday Harder to see, even harder to breathe As you look around and see the fading of dreams As you look at life sitting in a different seat And the clouds of time are storming down at your feet Then you reach Wishing you could find something to grab Only your family to pull you by your cold hand Where's the hope and happiness I need to stand Can't lay quiet and wait Will die any day Seemed impossible to find out if it was possible to figure out Then I stopped Opened my eyes Then I did find Exactly what I needed to figure out then I put my head down Then I cried As the seasons change So should I Peace of mind I'm leaning forward Don't hold me back Yes, I'm sure No more of that
