"Do I have to come?" Andrew asked in an almost whiny tone.

"This isn't a debate Andrew, your going to come and support your brother..." Mrs. Smith began to say.

"Andy is not my brother, in any sense of the word."

"Oh yes he is, more so then you probably understand right now."

"He's not okay, he just isn't. None of these kids are ever going to be my family. I'm only here for three years, what am I supposed to do? Get really close to you, Mr. Smith, and six other kids just so you can be ripped away from me in 3 years? I need to go through that pain again?"

"Andrew..." Mrs. Smith said calmly, "It won't be like that."

"No, it won't. Because I'm not getting close to these kids. I'm not going to the Soccer game." Andrew said, turning towards the staircase.

"Andrew, it's for your brother..."

"He's not my brother!" Andrew shouted, "Kyle's not my sister, J.J isn't my brother, Luke isn't my brother, Tim isn't my brother, and Hallie isn't my sister. And I'm not your son." Andrew said, turning and walking up the stair case.
