Hope

Hope. It's been found

Casey, Nico, and Luke walked into the village. As they approached the center, they started hearing a low humming sound coming from the town center.

"What do you think that is?" Nico asked.

"Hope." Casey Replied. She began to sprint, and Luke and Nico began to sprint after her.

They ran through the village, not running into a single undead, the three's spirits began to lift after every corner they turned without incident, to the point that they were smiling and laughing as they ran. Casey ran ahead of the others, praying to god she was running towards what she thought she was. To her astonishment, she was right. 

As she turned one final corner, leading towards the towns baseball field, she saw a large military helicopter sitting on the field, rotors spinning, with at least 15 armed military guards standing out side of it. Nico and Luke turned the corner and their jaws dropped at what they saw. "Sir, sir! We got survivors over here!" They could hear someone screaming as the three children walked towards them. Casey's eyes began to water, she dropped to her knee's, and cried out in happiness.

"Ma'am, it's going to be alright. We have you now." A deep voice said as Casey felt a heavy hand on her shoulder.

"Sarge! The younger ones got some serious burn marks on his face."

"Get him to the Medical Tent!" The voice, who's hand was on Casey's shoulder, shouted. He brought her to her feet and led her to the Helicopter, Nick was right behind her. "Get these to a seat on the Pavelow." The Sarge said. Two more soldiers led them onto the Pavelow, and gave them seats.

"So we're getting out of here?" Nico asked.

"No, we are waiting for two more survivors." The Pilot said.

"Who Casey asked."

"They go simply by the names of Andrew and Ivan."

There was silence.

"Oh my god!" Casey said, hushed, she leaned over and dug her head into Nico's shoulder.

"I know, I know." He said "Their okay."
