Return of the Legends

A Chapter by Damac
"

Andrew and Crew are back while Eli is in a less comfortable situation

"
Andrew loaded his assault rifle and checked to make sure his sword was secured
around his belt.
"Slosheey keep us steady."
"Oh thank you for reminding me Andrew, I was just about to crash."
"Alright a*****e. Nicole, Alex, you two ready "
"Ready as we can be." Nicole said, loading shells into her shotgun.
"Hey, I know we are in the middle of a mission." Alex began to say "But can we
have nap time."
"No we can't have nap time! What are you five?" Andrew said.
"No just lazy."
"Well shake it off. Delta distance to objective."
The glowing green figure of Delta appeared in Andrews vision "200 miles sir."
"ETA?"
"50 minutes."
"Understood." Andrew looked at Alex and, reluctantly, said "Alex you can take a
nap I guess."
"Yes!"
"Lazy a*s." Andrew said, suiting up into his armor. Suddenly Slosheey called
back,
"Andrew we have a transmission, from senator Boyd himself!"
"Bring it up." Andrew said, walking to the radio at the front of the Phoenix. He
soon heard Boyd's voice.
"Andrew what do you think you are doing."
"Sir, rescue mission of Eli Holoum and an unidentified V.I.P."
"If he's unidentified hows he a V.I.P?"
"Very Important Prisoner." Andrew answered.
"That doesn't answer my question." Boyd replied, sounding frustrated.
Slosheey leaned over, "It really doesn't"
"Shut up and get back to flying." Andrew told Slosheey before respondin to Boyd.
"Sir if you don't mind me asking, what is the point of this call?"
"I'm ordering you too stand down and return to base."
Slosheey, Alex, and Nicole looked at Andrew, "Can't do that sir." He replied.
"Why?"
"Why not?"
"That's not an answer Andrew."
"Sorry can't hear kkkkkkk going through kkkkkk tunnel."
"Your hundereds of feet in the air, there are no--" Andrew hung up on him.
Alex gave him a weird look, "Pretty bold move for a seventh grader."
"I would have said immature." Nicole said.
"Out of Context." Slosheey added.
"Dellusional." Delta added.
"Stupid." Cortana said.
"Wow, I have got to be in charge of the single most supportive squad in all of
Operation School."
"Well you did just disobey orders from Boyd" Nicole began to say "You know, the
guy who runs Operation School and all."
"I don't see your point. It's the beggining of summer. This is our last mission,
and we're gonna do it the right way." Andrew answered.
"I'll put this in a way you will understand. He is bigger than you, therefore he
is above you."
"It doesn't always work that way. And besides we have a job to do, are friend is
locked up in this prison and we have to get him out."
"Well whos this V.I.P?" Slosheey asked.
"If only I knew myself." Andrew said.

Eli felt himself being dragged along the floor. His vision was blurry, but he
could make out small lanterns on the walls, stone walls and floors, and several
jail cells all along the way.
"What the f**k is this?" Eli muttered "A dungeon?"
Whoever was carrying him gave him a quick kick to the ribs. Eli tried to
collapse and grab his stomach. But the arms of his captors were to strong for
him to budge.

His captors reached Eli's cell and threw him in. By now his vision had begun to
clear, but the room was still pitch black. Eli, tired and confused, made his way
to the door. He began banging on it in an attempt to break-out of the cell.
"Kid." Eli heard someone whisper. He jumped up with a start.
"Kid what in bloody hell is wrong with you. You need to settle your arse down
before the guards come back." Eli saw a small flame light what he guessed was a
cigarette in the darkness. The dim lighting of the gigarette and lighter sent a
dim orange glow on the mans face. He was caucassian with a recently shaved
beard. He had a black crew cut and was dressed in a typical prisoners outfit,
black and white stripes.
"Who are you?" Eli asked.
"Names Charlie" The man said "You?"
"Eli" Eli said distracted and distant, "What is this place?"
"It's an Operation School prison. If the OS can get there hands on you and they
don't like you, they send you here."
Eli just stared at Charlie, his eyes now adjusting to the dark.
"You look a little out of it Kid, we will talk more in the morning. How 'bout
you get some rest."
Without answering, Eli climbed over to his cot and collapsed in it, quickly
falling asleep.

"So you don't know who the V.I.P is?" Slosheey asked.
"No." Andrew said, sitting down next to Slosheey in the co-pilots chair.
"But we are still going to risk our lives and attack a mobile prison aren't we."
"Not necessarily."
"What do you mean."
"The way I see it one of two things will happen: A) We arrive they let us in, we
take Eli and the V.I.P and go home or B) They don't let us in and we shoot up
the place. Delta calculated and said B is 90% likely to happen."
"So we seem to have a challenge lying on the road ahead."
"Yeah I guess you could say that." Andrew looked out of the windshield. As he
watched, he saw somethig out of the corner of his eye.
"Land." He said.
"What?" Slosheey said
"Land. Now."
"What do you see." Slosheey asked, bringing the Phoenix towards the ground.
"Special Operations."

"Cortana, you stay here with Slosheey, guard the ship." Andrew said, uploading
Cortana to the ships database.
"Understood. You try and not get killed." She responded.
"I'll do the best I can."
"Slosheey, don't do anyhing stupid." Andrew said as he jumped out of the ship.
"I won't, I promise."
"Yeah you better." Nicole said following Andrew out the back.
"Remeber the plan. Alex, Nicole, and I are gonna pose as civilians and inspect
the Special Operations base for any anti-air weaponry. Slosheey, you stay here
and pick us up when we call for it."
"Andrew won't they know that you three are with Operation School?" Slosheey
said.
"I doubt it. They probably have no idea who we are. And besides, we will be
wearing casual clothing. They can't shoot at someone like that, right?"
Alex turned and looked at Andrew, "Seriously? Thats your plan? To walk right
into the enemy base with no weapons or armor."
"We will look like civilian children, duh. They won't shoot at us."
"We are in the middle of the desert! I think its a little odd if three freshly
bathed kids in clean clothing come wandering up to your base and start asking
for stuff."
Andrew grabbed the sleeve of Alex's t-shirt and yanked onit, ripping a large
hole in the shirt. He then picked up some dirt and through it at Nicole. "Who
said anythng about clean? Dirty yourselves up."
Andrew felt a large ball of dirt hit his left cheek, "Jerk." Nicole said,
playfully.

"Okay look Eli." Charlie said as the two walked with all the other prisoners
towards the mess hall for lunch. "I don't have alot of time to get to know you,
so i need to know I can trust ya."
"Why don't you have alot of time?"
"I'll tell ya if I know I can trust ya."
"I give you my word."
"Ya can't tell a soul what I'm about to tell ya."
"Okay, okay I won't."
"We are planning on busting out of here."
"You mean like escaping?"
Charlie chuckled, "I don't just mean escaping. I mean uprising, fighting our way
out. But there's no time, the guards are comin. I'll explain the plan at the
table, their you can meet the team."

Eli received his food tray and walked out into the mess hall. As he looked
around, he could see several adult faces in the room. The only kids were guards,
his age high above the cafeteria on platforms that ran along the border of the
room and zig-zagged across the ceiling. He saw Charlie motion for him to come to
a table.

"Eli glad you could make it to the party. Let me introduce you to everyone."
"This is an Operation School prison..." Eli said, distracted by the guards
overhead.
"Yes, but don't worry about that now." Charlie began to motion toward the first
man at the table. He was a tall, skinny man who seemed to be of Latino descent.
He had greased black hair and a akward grin which made Eli uncomfortable.
"This is Roberto Garcia. He's out weapon specialist, makes weapons out of
anything."
Roberto stuck out his hand to shake Eli's. "I've made guns out of toothpaste
tubes and oil."
"I don't want to know how you did that." Eli said, shaking his hand. "Why are
you in here?"
"Resisting government ordered takeover of my shop. I killed three of those
Operation School brats. The government wasn't to happy with that."
Eli shook his hand and Charlie moved onto the next person. "This is Isaac
Shepard. One of the greatest tactical minds of our time."
Eli took a look at him. He appeared to be about middle-aged, he was short and
bald and wore glasses which were crooked and cracked.
"Why are you here?" Eli asked. Shepard just stared at him.
"Eli, Shepard is mute. He can't speak."
"Ohh, well whys he here?"
"He was one of the Special Operations greatest volunteer strategists, but was
captured."
"If he's volunteer, why send him here?"
"Him being mute he couldn't provide Operation School with any information, and
fearing his return to the Special Operations they sent him here."
"Oh." Eli's gaze moved on from Shepard to the last man at the table. A large
man, he was probably around 6'8. He had a shaved head and long unkempt beard.
"This is Dog."
"That's his name?"
"No, it's just all he has told us."
"What role does he play in what I gather is an escape attempt."
"Number one, keep your voice down. Number two, he's the frontman and the "poster
boy" for the revolt."
"Huh?"
Suddenly, Dog spoke up, "I was once a proud United States Marine. I served for
my country and had no problem doing so. I had the misfortune of overhearimg a
conversation between the Specail Operations leader, Lee Culiopi and our dear
Senator, Mr. John Boyd. All I gathered was that Lee was gonna takeover the
government, and essentially make Boyd his puppet to keep a disguise that we were
still under the same rule as the day this country was founded. This was
obviously enough information for Boyd to fear me enough to sic his new "Toys"
,the D.C Operation School, on me. For weeks now I have planned, with Charlie,
Issac, and Roberto for our glorious escape! I have rallied the troops, and
Operation School will know war like they never thought they would!"
"When does this start?" Eli asked.
Charlie looked at him and smiled.
