Andrew Sets off to kill Lee, but Lee has his own intentions

"
Andrew walked to the schools helicopter pad. The pad was hidden in the
woods behind the school. Andrew one mission in his head. Kill the
Special Operations leader. Alpha-Bias was done, Kirovium was nearly
eliminated, the Riders were being dealt with, and Operation School was
advancing on the ruins of the ship. It was months of fighting, but
Andrew was going to end it right here. He was going to end this, sort
of like an early Christmas present, but for the whole world.

Andrew hopped in the Helicopter. It was just him now. He thought about
the first day of school, before any of this. He had been alone, quiet,
heading somewhere that he didn't want to go... But had to. That was
all happening right now. Andrew took a moment to observe himself.

He had the blood of Humans, Aliens, and Mutants all over him. There
were holes all over his suit and armor. He had a scar from a gunshot
wound on his leg and his chest. His hands were all cut up, even though
he was wearing gloves. He was covered in dirt and mud and hadn't had
a shower in weeks. In literally three months he went from normal kid,
one of a million, to a hero, someone who everyone knew. And now
everyone was counting on him. He had to finish this, it was the only
way he could make things right.

He started up the rotors. The Helicopter began to climb. He then heard
a voice in the back of his head, "You forgot about us, didn't you?"
Cortana and D both popped up in front of him.
"Where is your destination?" D asked.
"Spectacle Island, Massachusetts. It's just outside Boston."
"Calculating... Marking location on GPS..."
A symbol appeared on Andrew GPS, showing him where to go
"You are free to head out." D said.
Andrew smiled, and flew the helicopter in the direction the GPS was
telling him to go.

Andrew arrived at Spectacle Island. There was no helipad so Andrew
just brought the chopper down on the docks and exited. He began to
walk towards the visitors center, the location that Eli claimed the
Special Operations leader was hiding in.

Inside Andrew looked around. He saw bloodstains on the ground and a
large hole in the wall. Obviously this was where Eli had been
attacked. He still hadn't told Andrew how he escaped that attack. But
Andrew didn't think about it and kept walking. He walked around the
visitors center until he found a door marked "Employees Only." Andrew
pushed, it was locked. f#%$&, he'd have to find another way in. He
began to walk away when he heard a voice, "Ahhh yes it's you please,
please come in!"
The door swung open and Andrew walked inside.

The room was white and brightly lit and had a large conference table in
the middle with two chairs. A man sat at one end of the table in a
chair. The second chair, Andrew guessed, was for him.
"Why hello there!" The man said cheerfully "You are Andrew correct?
You have caused allot of trouble for my... Organization, haven't you?"
"So you are the Special Operations leader, aren't you?"
"Of course! I am Lee Culiopi, creator and leader of the Special
Operations."
"I won't join you." Andrew said, still standing.
Lee smiled, "Your instructors have taught you that haven't they? It
doesn't matter, I haven't come here to convince you to join me or to
even kill you. I just want to talk so please, take a seat."
Andrew slowly sat down, confused over what was going on. Lee pulled
out a large folder, "My men have done allot of research on you. Age:
11, Hometown: Scarsdale, what else."
"Where did you get all that?" Andrew said.
"Has survived multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the chest.
Fellow Operatives refer to him as being invincible."
"I think you have made a mistake."
"Tends to act without thinking, feels intense regret on occasion.
Never tells friends to make risks that he won't make."
"Why are you telling me this?"
Lee smiled, "Here is my favorite, Will not and has not fired on any
one unarmed or surrendering. Has been known to fire on the week."
"Why is that your favorite?" Andrew asked.
Lee looked at Andrew, "Do you know what Operation School does?"
"Protects the remainder of the United States during the civil war."
"What are you protecting it from?"
"The Special Operations."
"Who fights for the Special Operations?"
"Former Civilians who..."
"Who saw are way of life as better?"
"No! They.."
"What do you mean No? I have talk to these people, they want reform,
we live in a failing nation. I brought them that reform. I helped
them. You, You slaughter them because they use their freedom of speech."
"They fire at us!" Andrew shouted.
"Because you threaten their lives! What are you going to do, gun down
the unarmed."
Andrew stopped talking.
"What was the mental conditioning like?" Lee asked.
"What?" Andrew said.
"The mental conditioning. The stuff that allows you to be able to kill
people, see blood and gore, and not think twice about it or be scared."
"We were placed in a room, with no windows or sources of light, for
eight hours. Four a week we watched film after film showing soldiers
in combat, blood and gore, graphic violence."
"And what happened on the last day?"
"They shot at us, tried to see if we were scared. They shot so that if
we moved at all we would be hit."
"Did you move?"
Andrew looked right into Lee’s eyes. "No, there was no reason to be
afraid."

Lee reached into his pocket and drew a .44 magnum handgun. Andrew
jumped back, but instead of shooting, Lee continued to talk.
"I took this from that boy Eli. It's a nice pistol ain't it."
"I guess so..."
Lee slid it across the table, "Kill me."

"What!" Andrew said.
"You heard me" Lee said leaning towards Andrew "Shoot me right in the
face."
Andrew picked up the gun. He looked at it, but couldn't understand why
Lee was telling him this. Not just to kill him, but everything. Why
was he asking these questions? He seemed to know all the answers.
"Why do you want me to do this?" Andrew asked.
"Because you can't." Lee declared.
"That’s not true!" Andrew shouted.
"It is. You can't kill in cold blood. I'm one of your greatest
enemies, yet you can’t harm me. I haven't attempted to hurt you
specifically. I may be in command of the people who did, but I never
tried myself. You can't kill in cold blood, and that is your greatest
weakness."
"Take it back!" Andrew shouted, c#%$& the gun.
"I won't. Nor do I have too."
Andrew stared into Lees eyes. He aimed the gun in Lees face. He began
to squeeze the trigger. Lee stared Andrew in the face. A cold,
unbreaking stare. He watched Andrew squeeze the trigger. He also
watched him put it down.

Andrew placed the gun on the table. He turned and walked out of the
room. Lee smiled the entire time. Andrew heard Lee say, "Take this."
Lee tossed Andrew a storage device. "It contains an A.I." Andrew gave
him an "I understand" look and walked away. Andrew walked to the
Helicopter and climbed in.
"Did you do it?" Cortana said.
"No, but I got something. At least this wasn't pointless."

The Helicopter took off and flew back towards New York.
