Worlds CollideA Chapter by DamacThe gangs all here, and there gonna start taking people out!
The two Helicopters landed side by side in the courtyard. As Andrew
stepped out of his helicopter along with the rest of the group, he was hugged by Nicole. "Its so good that your alive." Nicole said hugging him and Slosheey. She then looked at everyone else with Andrew, "Who are these people." "Tim is the little kid, LJ is the big one, John Boyd I think you should know, Ivan and Robert are the two pilots whose Helicopter we hijacked." "I see." "And whose with you?" "Eli and Kate, they are two of the four soldiers who were MIA. The other two are dead." "I see." Andrew said. Eli ran up and shook Andrews hand "Nice to meet you." He said. "Nice to meet you too." Andrew answered. As the groups talked and discussed what was going on, Andrew saw something moving in the bushes. Andrew walked over grabbed whatever it was and slammed it against the wall. It was a young boy. But he looked just a little too young to be from Operation School. "Who are you?" Andrew asked. "My names Hex alright!" The boy said, struggling to shake Andrews grip. "Where are you from!" Andrew shouted at Hex. "If I told you, you would never believe me. Just know that I'm trying to kill Alpha-Bias, just like you." Andrew stared at the boy, than dropped him to the ground. "Fine, but your with us now." Andrew said. Hex followed Andrew back over to the rest of the group. Andrew introduced him to everyone. Than a door to the school opened. "What in bloody hell you all doin' out here." It was MacTavish and standing behind him was to other men. "Permission to speak freely sir!" Andrew asked. "Permission granted." "Who are the two people behind you?" MacTavish looked behind him, "These are Johnson and Parker, two survivors of the Firestorm incident who I fought with. And now they are here to help." Johnson walked up to Andrew and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too." Parker just gave Andrew a look that said, "I notice you" and then looked away. "Now what's goin on here." MacTavish asked. "We are trying to pull together and end this fight right here, right now. But we keep getting interrupted." "Wait, wait, wait." Eli said "Who pit you I'm charge?" "I did." Mactavish said, "Andrew you’re a Captain now." Andrew stared in semi-dis-belief, "Alright." As Andrew was about to explain his plan, a figure dropped I'm behind Boyd and attempted to stab him. Andrew quickly tackled the figure to the ground. "Who are you?" Andrew shouted, holding the Desert Eagle to the man’s head. "Names Charlie. John Boyd betrayed me a long time ago. I'm here to finish the job." Charlie said staring at John. "f#%$& you!" John said. "Well you’re not anymore" Andrew said "Your working with us now. We need all the help we can get to Kill Alpha-Bias, The Patriarch, The Leader of the Special Operations, and drive back Kirovium. Will you help us." Charlie looked around as he stood up, with no other choice he answered, "Fine." "Alright, now that all of that is settled, here is the mission. We need to find a way to kill the Special Operations Leader, The Patriarch, and Alpha-Bias, and drive back Kirovium and the Riders before Operation School gets wiped out. Any suggestions?" Everyone looked at Andrew in disbelief "You honestly think we can do that?" LJ asked. "Yeah, I don't think it's happening." Eli added. "Well what do you suggest we do?" Andrew asked the crowd. Johnson stepped forward, "The Special Operations leader is the least of our concerns." He said, "We should leave the Allies to fight off the Special Operations and Kirovium. We form one team to take out Alpha-Bias and one team to take out the Loyalists." "What about the Riders?" Tim asked. "A distraction." Parker answered "We don't need to worry about them." Andrew looked at the group. "I want Eli, Tim, Slosheey, Hex, Nicole and Johnson with me. Alex, get Kate to Medical help immediately. Parker, Boyd, Charlie, Brutus, Payay, LJ, MacTavish, you all get ready to leave for the ship." "Understood." Everyone said. Andrews’s squad lined up behind him. "Lets move." Andrew and his squad entered the school. They began to slowly push their way through the building killing the many drones that stood in their way. The drones were firing everything. Bullets, Lightning, lasers. The squad continued to push through the school, firing everything they had in their arsenal. As they were fighting, a drone managed to shoot Andrew in the leg. "Ahhh!" Andrew said collapsing behind a wall. "Hang on!" Hex ran over and bent down near Andrews’s leg. He held out his hand and it began to glow green. Andrew felt the pain leaving his leg. "What is.." "I'll tell you later, come on." The group moved towards the computer room. The plan was simple, yank Alpha-Bias right out of the system. But the massive amount of drones and possible security measure were going to make it a problem. Adrian sat, looking around the empty space that was Alpha-Bias's memory. "AB, how long have you been working on me." "Since I first saw humans. One of them, Andrew just looked so much like you. I believed I should re-create you at that point." "How long until my body is done?" Project_extoskeleton_scan Scanning... 58% complete Estimated time remaining: 23 hours, 48 minutes, 54 seconds. Adrian read the file and shook his head. "I see." He said. Adrian laid down and began to let his mind wonder. He started thinking. He had been resurrected. If this plan worked he would be the first thing ever to come back from death. Sure he wasn't the exact same Adrian, but he felt like it. He had his memories and his look and his brains. His name was even Adrian. But he wasn't Adrian, Adrian was Adrian... His mind began to swirl. Everything was so confusing. He didn't understand what was going on. He heard a scream. He then realized he had screamed. Everything went dark and all he could see was the word rebooting. Adrian woke up in a white room. He looked at his body and saw that he actually had skin! But when he tried to touch it his hands just passed right through himself. He was still a hologram. He noticed he was dressed in the same clothes that he wore the day Hex died. "Oh you are awake." He heard Alpha-Bias say. "What happened?" "Your mind is a computer now. It began to conflict itself so it was forced to shut down before it caused any damage to you." Adrian accepted the Answer and began to look around. "AB can I see your files?" "Of course!" Alpha-Bias said. Adrian began to scan through the files. Most of them were just memory backups and things relating to Project Adrian. Project Adrian appeared to be a big undertaking and it was putting pressure on Alpha-Bias. One file did catch his eye. The folder was entitled "Fire over Operation School". Adrian opened the file. Five more files popped up, labeled Operation School, Special Operations, Kirovium, The Arc, and Drones. Adrian skipped the drones file. Alpha-Bias had told him all about it. He instead opened the Kirovium file. All it contained was some images and notes on each monster. Adrian closed the file. He then opened the Arcs file. Whole schematics on every Race, Weapon, Vehicle, and general files were shown to him. Adrian didn't have time to search these files and so he closed it. The Special Operations file was empty except for a picture of a man named Lee who was marked as a target. Finally Adrian made it to the Operation School folder. The file had one simple file entitled Firestorm. Curious, Adrian opened the file. The schematics were for a bomb. A bomb that would set ablaze and burn anything within fifty miles. "AB what do you plan to use this against." Adrian asked, still looking at the files. "Our enemies, the ones who are moving to destroy us right now." "Show me." A screen popped up in front of Adrian. He watched and saw several children, not much older than him, fighting through the hallways of the school attempting to reach the computer room. Adrian watched as the Drones tried in vain to stop the children who managed to press forward. As they ran past the security camera, one child caught Adrian’s eye. He paused the feed and zoomed in on the Childs face. To his Astonishment, it was Hex. "Were almost there, keep pushing!" Andrew said. "We cannot fail!" Slosheey shouted, almost like a battle cry. The squad was approaching the Schools computer center in which Alpha- Bias had placed himself. The drones were doing everything they could to try and stop the advancing squad. Johnson pulled the pin from a grenade and threw it at the door. The drones tossed it back and Johnson watched it land near Eli. "Kid! Watch out!" Eli looked down and swatted the grenade with his gun like a baseball. It flew away and blew up just barley far away from the group. The explosion destroyed the drones and the group moved towards the door. "What’s your name?" Johnson asked giving Eli a fist bump. "Eli." "Nice hit." The group slowly entered the room. It was covered in computer monitors lined the walls and were displaying small blue dots. As Tim entered the room and locked the door behind them the dots formed together to show the image of an eye. "Hello Andrew, Slosheey, Nicole, Tim, Johnson, Eli, and Hex. It is nice to see you all." "I wish I could say the same." Hex said, continuing to aim his gun at the eye." "Hex it has been so long. How are you." "I've been walking around earth for millions of years. How do you think it's going?" "I just thought I’d make some friendly chat." "You left me for dead!" "Incorrect, me and Adrian were both under the impression that you were dead." As Alpha-Bias was distracted by Hex, Slosheey began to pull up the files and prepared to remove Alpha-Bias from the system. Andrew gave Hex a look that said "Keep going." "Your lying. You would have known I was alive." "From Adrian’s story your systems were critically injured by a gunshot. Even if you are made of heat-resistant metal, even up to the temperature of the sun, the hole in you would have fried your insides." Hex lifted up his shirt. He had a metallic burn mark on his chest. "I re-wired myself. I got rid of non-essential systems. Than welded myself shut using some scrap metal." "Impossible." "It worked only because of internal cooling systems." Slosheey signaled Andrew to come over to him. Andrew walked over and Slosheey explained what he had found. "There is an entire second A.I within Alpha-Bias." "What do you mean?" "What I mean is Alpha-Bias created a second, fully functioning computer, within his own system." "What should we do?" "The safest Option is to extract both. But you’re going to disagree aren't you." Andrew smiled "Separate the two, leave the new one in the system." "You got to spend countless more years with Adrian while I fell and landed on a growing earth." "You must understand that I..." "That you what, forgot about me? Didn't even care I was dead!" "...Missed you. Possibly more than Adrian did. Every video of you I could find in the archives, I watched over and over again." "Got him!" Slosheey shouted. The image of the eye on the monitor faded away. Hex stared at the screen amazed at what he just heard. Andrew handed Hex the memory unit. "I think you will want to keep this." Hex stared, speechless at the computer screen. "Lets go." Johnson said. The group began to move to the door. They could already here the sounds of drones shutting down and hitting the floor. "Wait!" The squad herd from behind them. "I know that voice..." Hex said. He turned around and, too his complete amazement, the image of Adrian was up on the screen. "Adrian!" Hex ran over to the screen and looked up at Adrian. "How did you get in there." "I am not the Adrian you remember. I am a recreation of him. I'm designed by Alpha-Bias to be exactly like Adrian in every way. I even contain all his memories." "But you remember who I am, right?" "Of course! You are Hex! You were made to protect me and I have missed you greatly." Andrew walked in between the two, "Alright, cut the chit chat. Hex we need to move." "I'm not going anywhere without Adrian." "We don't have a second storage device, we will come back for him." Slosheey said. "I'm not risking it." "Alpha-Bias said he was building me a Physical Body. It must be nearby." The squad looked around. Johnson noticed a closet in the far corner of the room. He went over and opened it to find it empty. "Damn!" He said. Adrian than shouted "Found it!" The floor of the computer room opened up as a bed with a boy’s body rose out of the floor. "Is it complete?" Andrew asked. "Yup." Adrian said "Downloading myself now." The squad stopped and waited. They watched as Adrian's new body stood up and jumped off the bed. He looked at Hex, "Its good to be back." Parker, Boyd, Charlie, Brutus, Payay, LJ, and MacTavish were fighting their way through the collapsed part of the school. The remainders of the Special Operations were in shambles and only a few Loyalists were left. "The Riders might just be our biggest threat." LJ said, calmly fighting his way through the crowd. "You might be right boy!" Parker said, smiling. The squad easily made it out onto the road. Only having to deal with a few drones along the way. But once they got to the road, they saw what they were up against. "Oh s#%$&." John said. The small squad was facing an army of over 500 riders from all parts of the U.S. "On three." Charlie said. "What?" John asked. "One, Two, Three!" Gold Rider stood in the front of all the riders he had brought with him. He turned and faced them. "Today we avenge our fallen brothers. We take back our honor and kill those who killed Red Rider!" The whole crowd cheered as Gold Rider saw the squad approaching. "Just like we all trained for." MacTavish said. The riders began to rev their engines, waiting for the squad to make the first move. "On three. One." Everyone locked their weapons. "Two." The group began to aim down their sights. "Thre..." "Sam wait!" A modified human helicopter with laser turrets flew down to the battle. It began to fight the Riders and caused them to scatter. "I'll cover you. Let's move to the ship!" MacTavish looked into the c#%$& and saw that the pilot was Zatooma. "Where did you learn to fly a helicopter?" "It is very similar to a vehicle used by the Arc. But that does not matter, let's go." Zatooma led the squad through the town. They were stopping every attempt someone made to kill them. From bikers jumping on them to bikers firing RPG's at the helicopter. No one was going to stop them from reaching the crash site. © 2011 Damac |
