Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Daltin Bydeed

Dark

When do the winds stop blowing?

When do the seas stop churning?

When does the sun stop shining?

Darkness falls and night creeps on,

And poison of despair crawls into the heart.

Within the realms of the living,

A chill smites them,

Ushering in fear and ever-growing dread.

But upon the crests of morning,

Hope returns,

The winds come to fill the dead air,

The seas soft tumult within begins anew,

And the sun begins to shine.

Then the darkness returns again,

And the endless cycle continues.
