Serrain's Blossom Intro

The intro into a novella about coming closer to Christ. Or, for the non-religious, finding a sense of determination and truth in one's self.

In another time, in another place, far different from our own, there

existed a flower. This flower was said to have grown when men and gods fought,

when the world was fresh and new.

This flower had marvelous properties. It could grant tremendous power, it

could bring prosperity where there was none, and it could even heal the most dire

of ailments.

The gods are dead now and the world has fallen into the hands of men.

With the fall of

these gods, so too has this wondrous flower vanished away

into nothingness. So too did the earth begin to wither and die. Crops wilted,

sand devoured the green earth and evening began to perpetually gather upon the

end of days.

Years, centuries, millennia passed.

Still, throughout the long ages of men, and their dominion upon the earth,

the legend of Serain’s Blossom persisted and with it, for one young woman: Hope.
