When the world doubts,
When friends force separation. When family turns bouts, Hands held up in desperation. Fall within. Turn not to wraiths. Turn and turn again. Find your inner strength. Upon this masked power, Build your armor. Have faith. The cold, hateful wind tears, Through skin, marrow and bone. A black, noisome void leaves bare, Robs all and leaves heart a stone. There is nothing left, Only dark emptiness. Of hope, the soul seems bereft. This nightshade desires it missed. It cannot be, For there is always, Always something to hope for Our decisions matter, Of this, there is hope, Our lives mean something. Of this, there is hope. The wall pushes against you. Push back and push again. Gravity pulls downward too. Get up, get up, rise again, Always, Always. The torrent will crash down. There is not time to wait, To take it all in. You must always persist. Push onward. Push again. To every rhyme, There is a reason. A life without purpose, Is a tree out of season. We must have purpose, Or life is void. Our purpose must be great If we are to be fulfilled, If we wish to avoid, More or less, A normal fate. © 2016 Daltin BydeedAuthor's Note
