For Long

For Long

A Poem by Dalia

For long…

Of living in this world…….

Fighting within this human mold ……

I choose to sail in wilderness……..

Why speechless!!

I find speech useless……

Words meaningless……

People all alike……faces all the same…..

So I darn to loneliness……..

Weirdest little girl……

so shy and quiet like a pearl……

Roaming in wonderland…….

Building castles of sand……

Don't wake up my sanity…….

Don't bring me back to reality…..

As I gaze up to the sky………

Bewildered as I fall in love …..

And believe …. the blue lie…….

For long….

Despair in my eyes I see…….

Sorrow in my voice I hear……..

But not for long…..

It will be……

Till the bird falls………

Of the sky and be……another victim of dreams vanity….

thanks for reading and reviewing
glad you like it
This really speaks to me, the first two stanzas just seem so true and relatable. "I choose to sail in wilderness" - A beautiful line. It seems to also breeze along dreamily, it's lovely.

You are welcome...Any time...:)
Dreams, a blend of truth and fantasy and ours alone to rejoice in. This poem was beautiful with a sincere and affectionate feel, oh to be lost within the mind of this child, so shy and quiet like a pearl, perhaps this is every dream.
