Because I knew you

Because I knew you

A Poem by Dalebear
"

In loving memory of Danielle

"

I am
glad you was my best friend

How you
was around to make my amends

I am
glad you was always there

How you
always had time to spare

I am
glad we both had each other friendship

How you
was a wonderful chick

How you
always made me smile

How you
went the extra mile

I am
glad you was so loving and caring

All the
love you keep sharing

Just to
say I wouldn’t be who I am today

So I read
this and pray

Because
I knew you

. ohhhhh ... this is such a sweet, deep, powerful and loving dedication ... em and i lost a friend in 2006 ... his name was sabby ... he was special ... i am sure danielle was special too ... if she made you smile ... if she went the extra mile ... if she has a part to play ... in who you are today ... i am certain that she was an absolutely special and precious person ... it must be so tough for you without her ... you've written an amazingly expressive poem expressing your loss ... i can feel her presence in this spectacular poem ... i can feel her missing you as much as you are missing her ... when someone goes away forever ... it's never the same again ... em and i decided to remember sabby when he was smiling and when he was dancing and when he was making us laugh ... we decided to make sabby a part of our happiness ... every happy moment ... every celebration ... every victory ... sabby is still with us ... just as danielle is still with you ... we are lucky we knew sabby ... and you are lucky you knew danielle ... i am sure she must be smilin' at ya from heaven ...

- i love this poem - it is such a heartfelt, warm, honest and loving dedication - that - like serah - it reminded me of our sabby -
danielle really did make you smile - she warmed your heart in a cold, cold world - she stood by you through the darkness - she made the day better just by being in it - she made the pain bearable just by listening - special and precious danielle - like serah said - is a part of every smile, every victory, every good day, every joy - and she will always be - in your heart.
when we lose someone so close - there's a part of them that lives on in us - and when we shine - they shine too - when we celebrate - they celebrate too - when we're hurt - they look out for us - i'm sure danielle's looking out for you - and every time you smile - she does a little dance in heaven - :) -
you're a spectacular poet - and most importantly - a sparkling and sensitive boy - and she must be glowing with pride - at the person you are, the artist you are, the poet you are and the greatness you will achieve - :)
