MY CROWN

MY CROWN

A Poem by Dale

If diamonds are a girls best friend
And girls just want to have fun
Then diamonds must be a joy
Yet I don’t even have one!

But don’t feel sorry for me because I’ve just begun
I will accomplish having diamonds
And celebrate after all
Even if I just have one
I’ll treasure it
It’ll be my treasured piece
The front stone in my crown
I’ll lavish it wearing it proud

If diamonds are a girls best friend
And girls just want to have fun
How much fun will it be for me when I’ve achieved
Wearing my diamond
While I dance to a beat
Showing it to all
Laughing and standing tall
Shinning it to perfection
And knowing in my heart
I have it and now I've begun

My diamond will be…
What finally makes me keen
I’ll be smiling and enjoying life
While I hold my diamond up high
That diamond will be to me…
What all others seek to achieve
Infamy
Courage
Glee
That one little diamond,
My treasured piece!

It’s better than none…

If diamonds are a girls best friend
And girls just want to have fun
Then I must strive
To at least have mine
I will tempt fate
I will forge ahead
To reach high
To get what’s mine
To know in the end
I too have lived
I achieved!
And now…
I have diamonds
All around me!
