spirits leaving the dance

spirits leaving the dance

A Poem by Murisaka

Petrified by horror
in a tombstone shade of gray
because solitude has no sympathy
and we know the buffoons wont understand such a mystery
A masked ball was engulfed by spirits
as discontent consumes us
a few of the souls will reach heaven
still the frenzy still wears on
and weariness sweeps over them
and their dreams scream in their heads
as the souls that were left behind
shatter like panes of glass
their spiritual energy was wasted
but the masquerade went on
unbroken by the transcending souls
leaving our world.
