Life, the Grand Illusion

Life, the Grand Illusion

A Poem by Murisaka

Life, a petty illusion
a mistake here
a decision there
will tell you where
and even when
your life, the illusion
will come to an end
its a poor poem
but its a place for the words
in your book of life
to call a home

Life, a Magician's quick trick
will come at you
in the fastest tick
the clock's pendulum
will swing life away
not slow
not fast
but soon enough
life will pass
just like the sparks of an illusion
will soon fade with time

Life, the Grand Illusion
its something special
A lie most are told
because its cared for
loved, hated, or even remembered
can be forgotten in the blink of an eye
its nothing special
its a dream
somewhat of a nightmare that none of us
can wake from
even if you struggle
and try as you might
you do nothing but fasten the beasts appetite

Life, the sparks shall fade
like the spirit, that the strong have made
the ebbs
the tide
the sand at the side
will disperse in due time
