Snowy Night Ride

Snowy Night Ride

This is a poem I wrote after one of my night rides. Enjoy it!

Snowy Night Ride
The moon was a graceful shining circle in the sky,
The stars glowed colors way up high.
Millions of beams of twinkling light,
Shone down on me and my horse that night.

We walked over hard, packed drifts of snow,
That sparkled in the light of the moon and seemed to glow.
Snow began to drift from the heavens above,
That was the kind of night I love.

Northern lights lit up the northern sky,
In glimmering colors low and high.
Curtains of purple and green,
Shone with a beautiful and ever-changing sheen.

I could have stayed the whole night through,
I'm sure my horse thought that too.
Midnight crept upon us there,
As we stood in the snowy, magical air.

Wow! This was beautifully written! As a horse lover I'd always wanted to ride by moonlight. Love the details in it! Please post more!
