Boy, Missing

Boy, Missing

A Poem by Daisy Savage
"

A different style of poetry for my coursework:)

"

I said ‘goodbye’ this morning

  and waved my boy way.

How was I supposed to know

 it was the

 last

 thing

 I

 would

 say?

The

 anguish

 and the

 emptiness

 ripped a

 you"shaped

               hole

 in my heart

 when the

 sombre policeman solemnly said

 you

 had

gone

missing

I hate     the not knowing

                the silence

                the cold

No music in the house now

No footsteps on the stairs

I sit

 alone

 beside the phone

 and wish that

                              you

 were

                              there
