Everlasting Spring

Everlasting Spring

A Poem by Daisy Savage
"

A poem I am considering using for a piece of coursework..

"

Plant a kiss and watch it grow,

Blossom into what I know.

Nurture it and make it strong;

This love will keep us growing old.

Binding us, you and me,

From now until eternity.

Plant a kiss and make it my

Flower to the end of time.

I’ll grow a garden with my love:

A kiss from you is just enough

To spark a flame and light a fire.

Your kiss: the life of my desire.

Plant a kiss and reap its seeds.

Everything I’ll ever need

Comes from you and our love,

A gift from God up above.

You and I were meant to be:

Our souls were grown from the same tree.

Plant a kiss and guide its bloom,

Shower us in sweet perfume.

Just like photosynthesis,

Inside this lovers’ chrysalis,

A transformation does occur:

Love gives the power of the bird.

So plant a kiss and watch it grow,

Blossom into what I know.

Nurture it and make it strong;

This love will keep us growing old.

Our life, an ever-lasting spring:

‘Together’ is what love brings.

This is so sweet, and happy. I LOVE how you used the metaphor with love and seeds. "Plant a kiss and watch it grow, Blossom into what I know. Nurture it and make it strong; This love will keep us growing old."
