If only he had read my POEMS

dedicated to my dear and loving friend Piet. he doesn't know yet but I have written this after reading his poem and have taken his title. it's about my foolishness in love.

Each night before I drift to sleep I write
Of all my thoughts of a sad day
Hoping I make them go away
And instead sweet dreams will fall on me
Just for a while I will be free

These writings are about a horrible man
He was neither a boy or a friend
Called himself boyfriend though
Ha! ha! very funny
Loved himself to bits
I followed him until the fatal blow.

This poem will make me cry
So stay with me dear reader
Let me tell you why
I went out with this person
Six month sentence
Full of L*VE and K*sses
I foolishly took them
Thats my repentance

He lied, I died
Inside of me
Turned to black
My heart stopped beating
So you know now
He was cheating
On two girls who never knew
Talking on telephones we were
Until one of us said
'Did u know about 'her'?'

My life stopped, my friends lost
Happiness vanished, that was the cost,
Not wanting to breath I began to shake
When my home vanished
Oh, what a mistake
I hate writing this and I hate the rhyme
I feel like I have commited a crime

Left alone with nothing but fear
Trust gone with hope and replaced by tears
The one thing he promised
Compassion and understanding
My heart was raped as I crashlanded
Never again will I trust a sole
Too late now
I'm just a stupid cow.

You see, if he had read my poems
Might he had understood?
And stayed with me
Like I knew he should?
Huh!
Now time goes past
I don't want him near
He hurt me so bad
Let me make that clear
Words will never mean the anger spelt
There is nothing more to say
No feelings ever felt.

A new life is here
So now you all know
And for Piet heres a cuddle
My review was a muddle
I hope this will make up for it
Just a little bit.

You have my sympathy Daisy....I have been there too, my heart is also blackened, beautifully written, so sad and poignant, it brought tears to my eyes. I like this for it's easy smooth reading, no frills just told like the way things were.....I do hope you are getting past this now.

The pain of being cheated on is such a bummer!!!! It's hard not to feel a pang of anger and hatred towards someone who would hurt another like that. I know the feeling and so I can sympathise wholeheartedly. You've written this well. Can feel the hurt running through it....
