The awful truth

The awful truth

A Poem by I am She

I spend most of the day in my head,

Pretending to be someone,

I am never going to be,

In a place I will never visit,

With people that I don't really know,

And they will never know me.

Author's Note

I am She
Really nervous about posting this little nugget of truth about myself, in the form of a poem. I hope you can relate.

It is relatable to an extent.

I wonder what kind of place you're visiting
and what draws you in.

Feels like something very true if you're thinking out a story.

About
Recently started writing again after 10 years of silence. Scared of what I might find in the dusty corners of my mind. It's like cleaning out an old attic. - I read - I write - I think more..
