The HeavensA Poem by Amber DollFor those who have loved the worlds above.
If ever you longingly, innocently seek, for unadulterated beauty
Do seek out that place, from whence no light can escape, For there, lies my heart, in such inky cosmic wait! Be warned, traveler, our outer universe shall irrevocably alter thee. A land there exists, where starry eyed visionaries would not willingly leave We breathe stardust, drink from a Milky Way with earnest Savory and sweet as it sustains our souls, we allow it never to digest. For tender souls, that extraterrestrial wonder offers tremendous reprieve We so merrily dreamed of that supernova's energetic bright. The heavens surpass all expectation of any mind, A gaze-worthy sun which never leaves thee blind. I pray to end there; delighted, exalted! If only on this silvery night. © 2010 Amber Doll |
