Certainty

Certainty

A Poem by Daisy

It's extraordinary how we tend to express ourselves to real strangers
Rather than those close to our souls
I cannot comprehend what I am afraid of
Judgement? Hate? Loss?

You are a stranger and I will say that I know my actions are in the wrong
But, like the bird my heart seems to fly away for the winter
And my mind is left all alone
Trying to escape the cold

I forget that I don't believe in the word 'love'
I forget and fall in to a rabbits hole
Where the grass seems much greener than the day before
And the wind is hugging me kindly

The reality seems to shatter
Creating a floor of confusion
It stares at us to reminds us
Our feelings will never be certain.
