On Angels Wings

Dedicated to anyone who has lost a child, something I hope to never have to endure.

Fly my sweet one fly away
the time has come to let you go
be free now, you have earned the
right to leave
spread your angels wings and
fly forever more.

Tears so silently falling now
please don't leave me here alone
carry me with you always
above the mountains, streams,
and lakes, oceans, woods and
endless plains
high above the snow white clouds
on angels wings I freely roam
Oh to see the sights you will see.

Fly my little one fly away
no more holding on
carry your dreams to Heavens gates
as they open now for you
suffer now more sweet child of mine
on angels wings you are free to soar
high above forever more.

No pain or sadness waits you there
no tears or hurt and no despair
remember me my sweet little one
remember always as you fly
how much we loved you here
high on angels wings I fly with
my sweet child
forever more.

The pain I feel, the tears I cry
are nothing compared to
the pain you had to endure in your
short time here with us
fly free sweet angel, never stop
spread your angels wings and
fly free forever more.
