Role ModelA Poem by Daimonick KoivistoShe was found laying on her back, face up in a candle lit bath tub Arms spread out and hanging over the rails, she was sinking fast like a sub With the world she was playing a game of seek and hide A new role model for the teenage suicide
All she wanted was to be beautiful like everyone else around She wore a black dress and make up; only weighed about ninety pounds You never would of believed that her green eyes held so much pain She was an artist of self expression but they only saw the stain Parents last thought she was going through a phase Yeah, well maybe it was just one of those day's They should of saw the signs in her practice drills Like when she downed a handful of diet pills Or how she tore down the ceiling trying to hang herself from the fan Well she cut her wrists and friends and family have done all they can The house was empty, she stayed up all night, and cried A new poster child for teenage suicide
She'd done outlandish things just to be seen Got all dressed up and beautiful for prom just to be turned down as queen Her date was a no show until he later came around with another girl After that buoyant display of mockery she wanted nothing more to do with the world She saw the knife in the corner with a shimmering gleam in it's eyes She would of stayed alive just to watch how the world dies Well know she has nothing to hide Her message was heard; as the role model for teenage suicide © 2013 Daimonick KoivistoReviews
