Your Righteosness Honored

Your Righteosness Honored

A Story by DailyTruth

Proof that you are righteous.

Imagine you’re driving and an officer gets behind you and he turns on his lights.

You’re not speeding. You’re tag is not expired.

But you don’t have on your seatbelt and you may have ran a stop sign a few miles back.

Now theirs an extreme sensation of fear that overcomes you.

And it’s accompanied by a guilty conscious.

You get all nervous and your peace is now gone.

You immediately pull over expecting a citation.

After you park the car and reach for your ID you look up only to find that the officer kept going.

You discover that although you were guilty of a crime, you had nothing to worry about.

You are now back at peace and you've assumed your normal resting heart rate.

How often does your sin dictate your mind in this manner?

The bible says stay in perfect peace but how often does your sin cause you to go back and forth with this type of spirit repellent fear?

Every sinner encounters this type of fear only in the moment that their faith is forsaken.

It’s caused by a guilty conscious which could be mainly out of the fear of the judgement of God and sometimes others.

If you are not at peace in this very moment, you may be a suffering from it right now.

It's a mental temptation that only has a very minute amount of power.

The ability to seduce you and then desert you.

Now although it lacks power, if you are not careful it could take up a huge majority of your life.

This type of fear can get so common and consistent that it could cripple your faith forever.

The pulpit commentary says, “a cowardice man is an accuser in his own conscience, and this he carries about everywhere. And just as it would be impossible to flee from himself, so neither can he escape the persecutor within.”

It’s deep. But do you know that every time you make the decision to pray you have overcome this fear?

Imagine we’re at square one and the officer is still behind you with flashing lights.

Instead of pulling over your fear drives you to flee and because of this the officer forsakes his initial duty to go right pass you and is forced to run you down and arrest you.

At the time of your arrest you ask him, “Officer what was the problem?”

He answers, “I wasn’t pursuing you, until you fled.”

It’s because of your fear that you are now being punished.

Proverbs 28:1 says, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

Prayer is the act of pulling over.

Prayer is knowing that you have broken the law but seeking the greater good above all else.

It’s because of prayer in Christ’s name that you can be freed from this fear for life.

There has been countless times when I have posted an article so biblically incorrect and filled with preconceived notions that I have vowed to myself that I will never make another article again.

God had to remind me that the fear of judgement will keep me from posting, but the passion of Christ will be made even clearer to me in all of my weakness.

Again Proverbs 28:1 says, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

If you haven’t made the bold decision to accept God through Christ then you have let fear make it for you.

How many other decisions will you allow it to make in your life?

The moment that you decide to accept God’s invitation and go get water baptized you have exhibited a boldness that has set you free.

And this is the only thing that makes YOU righteous.
