Crystal Clear ReinforcementA Story by DailyTruthI heard a word from God the other day. Melodramatically, the words were unique because He has
constantly had to reiterate them to me. I choose to share them because as I look around I’ve realized
that this may be one of the most disobeyed commands there is. It’s funny that I still sometimes forget theses words granted the
fact I’ve had to live by them through most of my “rational minded” years. Still forgetfulness always happens when my attention has been
diverted from the word of God. I didn’t have the energy to study the bible or anything
else. I was frustrated with school, my body was tired, and I felt
an extreme sadness. Depression induced distraction is an issue that I know too
well. Stress is unavoidable when I allow my work to pile up. In like matter, if I skip one day without allowing God to
speak I fall off track. As a young adult, clear-mindedness is quite new to me. Every so often I become unfocused and I fall back into my
childish state of “dreamland”. I may get lost in the forestry of funny and inappropriate Instagram
memes. I may even use my gift of literacy to write an inappropriate song. It doesn’t matter how the diversion occurs. The problem is, I take my eyes off of the truth of God. And whenever I do this, I lose direction AND purpose. It's very fortunate however that God constantly measures the patterns of our thought arrangement. He wants to be first for good reason. If we don’t withstand prayer, He won't withhold reinforcement and He always finds a way to communicate with us at the perfect time and with the perfect words. There’s an extreme difference in the condition of my mind
after He does. I even wonder “what in the world was I thinking at the
moment of the discouragement?" Satan is the culprit. After many wet-faced prayers I was scrolling through my
screenshots and found these words that are “universally disobeyed” to say the
least, "Don't be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you can figure out what God's will is-- what is good and pleasing and mature." I would usually conclude the entry with a closing statement. But honestly, after that unmistakable instruction from God,
there's nothing more to be said. © 2018 DailyTruth |
