I AM

I AM

A Story by DailyTruth
"

You know your spiritual position, But what is your physical direction?

"

I believe that there’s a major question that we all must ask ourselves.

That question being “Who Am I?”

This question can cover a large number of attributes (job title, race, political position, religion).

And it’s true that we can utilize these titles to change the direction of our being.

But these labels can sometimes blind us from our true orientation.

The most vital remnant of ourselves that is in desperate need of improvement.

Maybe you’ve already answered the question, “Who Am I?”

I have. I AM A SINNER.

And my sin isn’t even the evidence of this truth.

Yes, I do transgress both intentionally and unintentionally.

But the fact that I AM A SINNER expanded as soon as I asked the bigger question, “Who is God?”

If you’re familiar with my writing you probably can tell that I make an effort to stay focused on God in Christ, my redeemer.

We all LOVE to talk about Jesus. We know exactly who we are in Christ.

And we exhibit who we are in Christ, through service.

But we cannot withstand the fact that there is a God, the Father.

And as soon as we become acquainted with who He is our sin becomes a bigger issue.

That’s right, God is NO friend to sin.

Truth is, He’s given us Life. A perfect one.

But that perfect life is stored up for our perfect entity.

By no means should you expect to live a perfect life in this lifetime, while you are still a sinner.

But God gave us His commandments, so that we can live both righteously and comfortably.

I cannot chose one verse from Lamentations 3, to recapitulate this truth.

You must read the entire chapter.

Lamentations 3 gives us a clear vision of who God is and how he responds to our sin.

It also gives us a clear assessment of who we are expected to be.

I believe that after you read this chapter and IT’S COMMENTARY, you will notice new things in your life.

You will have better evidence of who you are and who God is.

This chapter reveals our identity, our duty, and the hand of our AWESOME GOD.

Remember, it’s LAMENTATIONS 3.

And below is a link to the very eye-opening and life changing commentary.
