Stranger Danger.

Stranger Danger.

A Poem by De3stroy

I keep looking for you in someone else.

I try to find your smile in their teeth.

and their breath? it isn't yours.

it's like an echo that stopped repeating.

or maybe i just stopped listening.

i keep trying but

your guts are still where you left them.

right next to mine

and they wont go away.

so i just walk around.

i think i like having them around.

why isn't this working?

forget it.

who?

sorry, what was your name again?

sorry?

i'm not sorry.

honestly if you want to be sad..

don't.

i keep searching for you in someone else.

but the truth is:

you were never here.

I can feel the sense of being lost, and it works very very well in this piece. Definitely favoriting this.

I can't help but to imagine a beat in the background of your poems. They flow with such emotion and imagery... You're amazing. :) I'm supposed to be all critical and s**t but I can't seem to nitpick any of your material. It really calls out to me.

Ouch. This poem stings! Your words are quick, short; both angry and lost as the speaker in the poem.
