Hello Fairy Princess

Hello Fairy Princess

A Poem by Poetic Injustice

Once there was a fairy princess
She was an inch tall and had wings of light
I saw her once almost for an instant
But for that first time, hidden from sight
Until one day I saw her, I had to stare
There she was, standing in the door
Her wings fell off though I swear
Light lit her entire five foot four
I was speechless and yet I managed to utter
"I'll get that, ma'am" as I opened for her
My heart melted as if it was butter
Like a dumbstruck boy I had to defer
"Thanks" said she but nary a glance
And in she walked as I walked on out
She had no time for inconfidence
And after I never saw her about

When my third chance happens, I won't hesitate
I'll sweep fairy princess into my arms
And in them, she'll reciprocate
Captured by my charms
