It's getting really hard to explain
Why being in love with you is worth the pain
And it gets harder every day
Sometimes I wanna walk away
Not that you'd try to stop me anyway
And you never made promises back to me
Except to say whats between us must end eventually
I'm just a temporary thing
Nothing exclusive, just a fling
Like I said, pretty hard to explain

And its gettin harder every day to understand
How you're not my woman but, baby, I'm your man
It's a one-way love-affair
If it ended, you wouldn't care
You wouldn't even give a damn
Guess the hardest thing about it is this, I'd say
I'm getting more & more like you every day
And when it finally falls apart,
you can keep my broken heart
I wont need it anymore, anyway

aww, this is heartbreaking. Disappoints always are heartbreaking. You kindda lose hope and dreams for anything better. I seem to always get into controlling relationships, where you have to fight and fight hard to get out. I never understood why someone would want to tie you down to a life of misery, but it happens and it hurts. Why can't people just love�deeply, truly, happily?

Wow. This was enjoyable on many different levels.
The emotion was clearly expressed throughout the poem. Also, even though the poem rhymed it still felt conversational. The rhyme seemed effortless so it blended in and enhanced the poem instead of sticking out and taking attention away from the meaning of the words themselves.
The content is universal. Many people can relate to these feelings, but I appreciate that you presented them in a new way. There are too many poems that sound the same and I'm glad this stands a part from 'the others'.
