Personally

How else can I take it?
It personally involved me.
I'm not going to fake it.

 

But I might try to make it
less a focal, more a form.
Just an experience less naked,
striving to regain my "norm."

 

But don't tell me what to feel
based solely on your intention.
My heart is mine to heal.
Yours is yours, I may mention.

How many times have we heard these words ringing in our ear? "Don't take it personally." It's just another 'catchphrase' no different than 'I love you' carelessly thrown around. You bring much to the table to ponder.
