You Don't Know Me

You Don't Know Me

A Poem by Dagger

You think you know me, but did you know:

I am broken, but you will never see.

I am in pain, but i will never show it.

I am alone, but always surrounded.

I cry at night, but you wont see me.

I scream at night, but you will never hear me.

I am crying for help, but you don't hear me.

You think you know me, but you will never know the real me, the person who hides behind lies so she doesn't get hurt again. I am alone in this world filled with hurt and anger, always in darkness and sorrow. You want to get to know me, but I am scared to let you because then you will have to know the side of me thats constantly in the dark, constantly crying for help, constantly afraid. So... do you think you know me now?

It was good until you broke it up into a paragraph, then it seems a little forced and kind or repetitive. Put more of a story behind it and keep the rhythm, give it more imagery; make it end in death or make it end with you revealing who you really are but don't just end it because you're not sure how you want it to end. (I'm not saying that's why you ended it the way you did, that is just what it seems like to me.) But I really do like the first seven lines. Keep up the good work. :)
