My Ire

My Ire

A Poem by Day West
"

You know the feeling you get when someone you like toys with you? Rather annoying...! Still the form of this poem is quite playful, and I hope I don't get too sappy in the end!

"

Heartache and heartbreake and all that crap

Serves to drive you insane

Lovebond and lovesong, its really a trap

Disgusting and trusting profane

Coldheart and coldhead are all the same

Stubborn, stupid and cruel

Hotheart and hothead really the game

Obsessed, crazy, they rule

Yourself and yourown, your first motto

You get whatever you can

Myself and myown to you a lotto

When will you be a man?

Freedom and freelove are hand in hand

Love is never restricting

Loveyou and loveme together they stand

Intrerests never conflicting

Ourselves and ourown are two great words

They speak of mutual gain

Truelove and truehearts are able like birds

To fly away from their bane

I don't know if this poem really works. It starts out rather annoyed (still playful though) and then ends somewhat sappy... I'd relly like any and all comments and reviews!
