Bloodlust

Bloodlust

A Poem by Day West
"

When your'e tired of taking the high road and just want to lash out. I experimented with conflicting stanza forms in this poem because I felt they went well with the subject matter.

"

Sick and tired of being strong

Of taking the high road

Elbowing through the heavy throng

Upon which I once rode

Snapped back into reality, suddenly

Ripped out the vitality, brutally

Supposed to be mentality, probably

Viped out all morality, completely

Too hard to care for anything

I want to inflict pain

To have this great big poison sting

Too long have I mute lain

Spring back up to warfare, suddenly

Will strike back in midair, brutally

No time for you to prepare, probably

Only for you to despair, completely

Day West
I'd especially like comments on the form and whether it works or whether its just painful to read. ;)
