Leaving

Leaving

A Poem by Daffy
"

A poem dedicated to Zoe. She is now leaving her current job, in which she has helped both myself and my son during 2013 to survive, what has turned out to be, the worst year of our lives.

"
Leaving.

When pastures new with fields of green
(and nevermore old views be seen)
Are for all good or full of strife,
Then look and see the peace of life.

When moving on and learning more
(that which we never learned before)
Feel no sorrow, nor despair
No worry, or apprehensive care

You'll shine as bright as in the past

Your star will shine and ever last.

Author's Note

Daffy
It seems my poems are much the same, but I always think in this way. I wrote this when Zoe told me of her departure, and I realised just how much my son and I have to thank her for.

This is beautifully uplifting. I loved these lines:

Feel no sorrow, nor despair
No worry, or apprehensive care

You'll shine as bright as in the past

Your star will shine and ever last.

We are better for the friendship, love and experience and those starts certainly shine bright long after evening has lifted.

Thank you for sparing some of your time for me. It is appreciated.
These are positive words assembled with love and no small dose of creativeness that I'm sure are deserved. Zoe must really be special.
