I sat thinking badly today, and suddenly realised that I have so much to be grateful for.....it brought me home. So I thought I would share my thoughts with you all. Daffy

What an uplifting, optimistic write this is. I especially liked the fact you are telling your grandchildren the stories your grandmother told you. From generation to generation (L'dor V'dor in Hebrew) means so much. Family stories are meant to go on and on. You are absolutely right, Daffy....whether we are old and gray or young with blonde curls bouncing, we have much to be grateful for in this wonderful life. Your wise life message comes across loud and clear. Truly a joy to read. lydi**

I knew no Hebrew at all. What a great phrase to learn. Thanks very much for the lovely review. It is such an important, but all too often forgotten task. The old stories had so many good ethics and morals to pass on.

This is such a needed and wonderful message, Daffy! I have been known to whine about growing older, I wonder how many little details I have missed doing that foolish thing? Great reminder to be in the moment and to be thankful and in awe of the things we have done. Angi~

Excellent. Beauty and truth can often escape us, but not this time--not for you. Nor I. We've earned the right to enjoy life--all of it, and having that grandchild on the knee is an experience like no other.

This is a wonderful message, Daffy! The outer view we give to the world matters more to ourselves than to those who love us, and they are the ones who matter most! This made me smile.

This is quite simply beautiful :) I love, love the last stanza. Life in itself is a great blessing and a joy. We needn't be so despondent all the time. We need to make the best of what we have. This is life affirming poetry. Thank you for making my day! :)
