The Color of my LifeA Poem by DaffodilThis poem tells about each time he introduced a new color to her life.
All my life all I ever knew was black and white. Then you came along.
The day we met you were wearing that old blue hoodie. Then there was that time you walked me home and picked a red flower for me. You said it was pretty, but that I was beautiful. It was homecoming night when you found me outside, crying. You held me closely and let my tears ruin your purple tie. We were sitting in the long, green grass when you asked me to be your girlfriend. I remember the sun was setting, you kissed me for the first time beneath the orange sky. I’ll never forget when you passed me a folded piece of yellow paper. Written in the center were the words, I love you. © 2010 Daffodil |
