I wanted to write a poem

I wanted to write a poem..

maybe just a limerick or two

but instead i'm just writing words...

ones that float in my head 

they demand to be released

I wish to be put to bed

neither of us are getting what we want

but these words tend to flaunt

they have patience that I could never achieve

no matter how much I believe...

I'm cracking from the pressure

but i'm still here 

trembling with fear

of the words in my head

whom I can't put to bed
