Monster

Monster

A Poem by Ember Smyth

There are monsters in my closet
They lurk throughout the night
Creeping through the shadows where there is no light
Their favorite place is underneath my bed
Right up closest to me
But as long as they stay where they be
Then everything will be fine
But then it turn to day time
And the shadows come to light
The monsters are my family and friends
So I will not put up a fight
When they pull me into the deep dark night
There are monsters in my closet
And I am one of them now

Very intriguing poem! The concept is very enthralling. I like how you establish that the Monsters can't hurt or get to you. Keep that in mind. Especially when mean people say terrible things to you. Wonderful poem, well done. :)
