Ghost outside my Window

Ghost outside my Window

A Poem by Ember Smyth

I'm in my room
Almost asleep on my bed
When I hear it

A ghastly sound, it is
Shrieking through the night
Not like any other sound

And it's outside my window
Passing by on a nearby street
Driving its way into my nightmares

I don't know what that sound was
For I was to afraid to look
But I'll never forget the experience

Of a ghost outside my window

Author's Note

Ember Smyth
I got the idea when I was sitting on my bed, extremely bored, and heard what I would describe as a ghost screaming. It turned out to be an old truck tractor.

I don't like loud noise and honestly, I like how the poem is tense like a ghost story and turned out to be something hilarious like a tractor. Ah, sometimes our minds is our worst enemy.
