Constructing Reality

Constructing Reality

A Poem by Chelsea Schermerhorn
"

Poem I just composed actually as the beginning brainstorm for an essay I have to write for a class. When I complete the essay, I'll post it as well.

"
~Drawn from Jonah Lehrer's Proust Was a Neuroscientist, Chapter 5 and Moulin Rouge.

A constructed representation of reality

          Begins with imagination;

          Is disintegrated by interpretation;

          Completes the impression;

          Becomes illusion by alteration.

i really like it, i mean i love the play on words, it makes sense as it leads, but i'm confused in the long run, like something is missing. perhaps a description of what you mean and the reader can identify with the vision 5.0 out of ten
